Established as private home and palm collection in 1932 and as a not-for-profit botanic garden in 1959, the mission of the Montgomery Botanical Center is to advance science, education, conservation and horticultural knowledge of tropical plants, emphasizing palms and cycads, and to exemplify excellent botanical garden design in its 122-acre garden. Montgomery Botanical Center houses National Collections of Palms, Cycads, and Tropical Conifers.

We will schedule a walking tour with golf cart assist (for those with mobility issues).
Dress for a summer walk. Cover up to protect from the sun and bugs. Good walking shoes are helpful.

TFEPS is collecting a $15 donation per participant to contribute to Montgomery. To participate in the tour, you must be a TFEPS member you can Join Here if you haven’t yet.
The last day to sign up is at the TFEPS May meeting on May 25th. To make this tour worthwhile for the Botanical Center, we will cancel if we do not reach a minimum of 10 participants by then.
